Rugby continues to grow at The Canterbury Academy
The Year 7 rugby team went unbeaten in a local district schools’ tournament. They had wins against The Abbey, Barton Court, Herne Bay High and they drew a close game with QES. Training takes place on Mondays after school with Mr Pinnick and coaches from Canterbury Rugby Club.
We have also been really impressed with the girls who have been engaging in rugby in their PE lessons and have made tremendous progress because of their fearless and resilient attitudes.
The girls have been committed to rugby since last term and are eager to encourage other girls to attend our new girls’ rugby club on a Tuesday after school
