The Canterbury Academy are one of 800 schools and sports organisations who have signed up for National School Sport Week which is due to take place from Saturday 20 June through to Friday 26 June. The event is being run by The Youth Sport Trust and will feature on Sky Sports News during the week.
In previous years, National School Sport Week has seen thousands of schools join in a week-long celebration of school sport and Physical Education. The Youth Sport Trust is committed to recreating school sports days for its annual week of celebration to support young people’s mental and physical well-being amid the pandemic.
The UK-wide campaign will challenge people to take on their families, friends and neighbours in virtual sporting challenges. Our staff will be sending details of the challenges out via Show My Homework for year 7 to 9 students and on Class Dojo for Canterbury Primary School students. Some staff will also be taking on the challenges and we will give you an update on these via social media.
Staff, parents and students can be kept informed as to what the challenges are by joining our social media platforms.
