Students make a conscious decision to stay on in the Sixth Form, or to join us in Year 12, and it is important for them to be aware of the increased expectations placed upon them. Our Sixth Form students are required to be role models for other students; therefore, they must adhere to our high expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixth Form Dress Code<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our Sixth Form students are not required to wear a uniform but must adhere to a dress code. This dress code ensures that all students maintain a respectful appearance, reflecting the high standards of our school community. We want our pupils to be comfortable, express themselves as individuals, but require that students wear clothing appropriate for an 11-19 school environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do, however, insist that clothing does not contain inappropriate or offensive logos, images or text. Clothing should be appropriate for a work and school environment; shorts, skirts and dresses should be of an appropriate length. For safety and reasons of identification, we ask that Sixth Form students do not wear caps or hoods whilst on site (unless for medical reasons agreed by the Head of Sixth Form).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the size of our Sixth Form and our campus, to safeguard all pupils and staff it is imperative that Sixth Form students always wear a lanyard. Temporary or replacement lanyards are available through student reception or Sixth Form reception and must be worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mobile phones in the Sixth Form<\/strong> <\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Sixth Form students will not be permitted to use phones in lessons, unless it is agreed by the teacher as a teaching tool. They should then be put away and out of sight when the agreed activity is over. Agreed activities, for example, would be: photographing work, scanning QR codes, using interactive flashcards etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sixth Form students are not permitted to use their mobile phones before, between or after lessons. This applies to all school buildings with the exception of designated Sixth Form areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
