The aims and objectives of this qualification are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Acquire, select and apply mathematical techniques to solve problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Reason mathematically, make deductions and inferences, and draw conclusions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Comprehend, interpret and communicate mathematical information in a variety of forms appropriate to the information and context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    These skills equip students to become successful adults who have the appropriate skills to thrive in the 21st<\/sup> Century workplace. Alongside being able to manage their own finances and elements of their lives that involve mathematical skills such as shopping, baking, driving, decorating and planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
