It focuses on the maths of life and the workplace making it interesting, engaging and relevant to the world we live in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aims of the Course <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Mathematics is, inherently, a sequential subject. This course assumes students will already have confidence and competence in the content presented at GCSE Level Mathematics. This course is split into two pathways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compulsory Content<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analysis of Data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maths for Personal Finance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Estimation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Critical Analysis of given data and models<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Optional Content (we study option 2B)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Critical Path Analysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expectation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost Benefit Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assessment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the end of the course, you will sit 2 examination papers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paper 1: Compulsory Content (1 hour 30 minutes, 60 marks)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Paper 2: Optional Content (1 hour 30 minutes, 60 marks)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Steps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Completing the Level 3 Maths in Context qualification can support the study of many other subjects such as: Sport Science, PE, Psychology, Health and Social Care, Geography, Sociology, Business, Economics, Biology, Environmental Science<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can open the doors to many different career pathways.
