Information about Super Saturday

The address of the school is;

The Canterbury Academy
Knight Avenue
Canterbury
Kent
CT2 8QA

The start time of the event is 8.30am. In order to allow plenty of time for drop off and registration, you are welcome to arrive from 8am.

Please drive onto the campus, where a representative from our site team will help you to park. We will have a one way flow system in place at drop off and collection times, to support you. We would also be grateful for your consideration of any alternative ways of travelling, for example on foot or by parking further away and walking the final part of your journey, if this would be possible for you. Please note that the car park can become quite busy. There is also a small car park next to the main gates, at the Victoria Recreation Ground, which is free to park for 30 minutes.

This event is for year 5 students only, and is not an `open day` for parents, as our official Open Season dates will be in October, and we will be advertising these via our website and social media channels. Please could you therefore bring your son or daughter along to register in the morning, and then collect them at the end of the taster day, which is at 1pm. Drop off and registration will be at the main entrance to The Canterbury Academy building, where you will find some smiling staff and current year 7 students, ready to welcome your children.

At the end of the day, everyone will be in the main school hall, finishing lunch after a busy and fun filled morning. Parents are welcome to collect their children and talk to any of the staff, who will be happy to answer any questions about the school.

 Please could you ensure that your son or daughter is in comfortable clothes, so that they can do physical activities during the morning. We would advise that the children wear trainers and a hat, along with some sun protection, as there is a forecast of good weather. Please could they also bring a refillable water bottle. We will have the chance to fill water bottles and we will also have biscuits ready for their mid-morning break. The lunch menu for the day is attached, and our catering team will be on hand, to help with any dietary restriction enquiries. Should you have any concerns, please do reach out to us prior to the event.
